Vestra Industry becomes official distributor of Universal Robots
As the main partner of Romanian companies for automation and development, Universal Robots has concluded an agreement with its fifth partner in Romania, Vestra Industry, one of the leading companies in the field of automation solutions distribution. The contribution of Vestra Industry, a company with a solid and stable portfolio of clients and an efficient presence at national level, will facilitate the expansion of the cobot offer to Universal Robots target industries such as: pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, as well as wood processing.
The implementation of cobots is seen by many companies as the best way to remain competitive on the European market. Already, almost 28% of Romanian SMEs plan robotization in the next 3 years according to a recent study conducted by Universal Robots in Romania. Of these, almost all listed the increase in production quality and volume as the main reasons for automation.
“The trend of entrepreneurs in Romania is clearly towards automation, in line with global trends. Companies that adopt automation and collaborative robots solutions especially now will gain a competitive advantage in regional markets, as well as a faster recovery from the economic challenges brought by the current period. By taking over repetitive activities by cobots, employees will be able to retrain themselves to activities with higher productivity and added value. Contrary to some myths, the integration of collaborative robots with employees leads to the development of the company and the employment of more people by increasing the activity. I am confident that together with Vestra Industry we will reach many new companies in the market”, stated Răzvan Isac, Channel Development Manager Romania and Balkans, Universal Robots.
“The path to success comes from the relationship you have with your partners; be they suppliers, customers or collaborators. To build a puzzle you need all the pieces to be exactly where they need to be”, added Vlad Valeriu Iftime, CEO of Vestra Industry.
The competitive advantages of cobots are multiple and include their versatility and mobility, easy programming, increased safety and affordable cost compared to classic industrial robots. They can be easily moved wherever they are needed and support employees in the most complex tasks in complete safety at work. Even the least experienced employee can program the cobot for the necessary tasks in a short time thanks to UR Academy, the free online training platform for the use of cobots. UR collaborative robots can perform different activities, thanks to numerous applications developed by partners, such as machine tools, assembly, packaging and palletizing, grinding, welding, quality control and others.
