CellEAST Festival 2024
Vestra supports the CellEAST Festival for the third consecutive year. As the main sponsor, Vestra contributes to the promotion of culture, encouraging innovation and outstanding talents in the field of music and beyond.
Showing a deep interest in cultural diversity and recognizing the subsequent social impact are key elements in the development of the CellEAST Festival project. During the 7 days of the festival, the variety of instruments and the subtlety of the chords transform every moment into an unforgettable memory. CellEAST proposes a series of captivating activities, including remarkable concerts and educational Masterclasses that aim to highlight the dynamism and involvement in Romanian art and culture.
One of the highlights of the festival is the CellEAST international competition, which will take place between May 7 and 11 and is dedicated exclusively to the cello and open to participants aged between 3 and 35.
CellEast Festival was born from the desire of visionary Romanian cellists to bring the most talented international artists in the field to the forefront of the national scene, while familiarizing the audience with the beauty and depth of cello music. Already in its 3rd edition, the festival has become an emblematic event due to its impeccable organization and the uniqueness of its musical arrangements.
The 2024 edition promises an impressive number of over 10 extraordinary concerts, presented on the stages of Bucharest and Brașov, with the participation of over 16 internationally renowned cellists, including: Wen-Sinn Yang, Denis Severin, Atanas Krastev, Ella Bokor, Attila Pasztor, Krzysztof Karpeta and many others. Also, special guests include Trio Marvin (piano, violin, cello), Mihai Cucu – visual artist, and Mario Josim – multisensory artist.
Art and culture are the fundamental pillars of a society, giving it identity and depth. They not only enrich people’s lives, but also connect, inspire and encourage them to evolve, thus contributing to the development of a society united by common values.
