Vestra Industry, a Supporter of Cultural Excellence: CellEAST Festival 2025 – A Celebration of Art and Music Education

At Vestra, supporting culture is not an occasional gesture, but a deeply held commitment. That is why, as the main sponsor of the CellEAST Festival 2025, we were honored to contribute to the success of one of the most refined and valuable classical music events in Romania and Eastern Europe.

Held between May 10–18, CellEAST Festival brought together more than 40 young cellists from 8 countries and 12 international masters, for a week full of concerts, masterclasses, recitals, and educational sessions that placed music and artistic development at the forefront.

We believe in the essential role culture plays in building a healthy society. We value artistic excellence, support innovation and education, and are wholeheartedly invested in initiatives that shape character, inspire generations, and leave a lasting impact on the community.

CellEAST is exactly such a project: a festival that not only promotes classical music at the highest level but also creates a genuine space for growth for young musicians, within a professional, international, and inspirational setting.

The festival offered audiences 11 outstanding events in iconic venues across Bucharest, Sibiu, and Dumbrăveni, bringing together leading names from the international stage:
Bruno Cocset, Marin Cazacu, Andrei Ioniță, Sevak Avanesyan, Denis Severin, László Fenyö, Răzvan Suma, Ella Bokor, Ștefan Cazacu, Mircea Marian, Octavian Lup, Ciprian Câmpean, along with special guests – Erich Türk, István Csata, and conductors Pablo Boggiano, Christian Zacharias, and Christo Pavlov.

We were especially delighted to witness how events such as:
• The Opening Concert at the Romanian Athenaeum,
• The Baroque Seminar with Bruno Cocset,
• PlaCello&Friends – a unique show by Răzvan Suma,
• Baroque Night at St. Joseph’s Cathedral,
• The extraordinary recital by Ștefan Cazacu in Sibiu,
• And the spectacular closing event – Maestros Concert,
created powerful, emotional connections between art and audience.

Vestra also took a keen interest in supporting the educational programs Future CellEAST and MiniCellos, held at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where young cellists benefited from individual lessons, chamber music sessions, and artistic mentorship from the invited masters. For us, this kind of education represents tangible support for the future of the arts.

Through our involvement in cultural projects like CellEAST, we aim to send a clear message: Vestra passionately and respectfully supports everything that represents value, talent, growth, and artistic expression. We do not see culture as a luxury, but as a necessity for a harmonious society—one that is rooted in meaning, tradition, and refinement.

The festival was organized by the PlaCello Cultural Association in collaboration with the Union of Performing Musicians of Romania (UCIMR), the EchitArt Association, and the George Enescu Philharmonic, with support from the Ministry of Culture and other dedicated partners.

We are truly grateful for the partnership with this extraordinary team and for the opportunity to help create a memorable experience for audiences, artists, and aspiring musicians alike.
